The first hotel built in Key Largo in over 21 years has chosen Intelity to provide an integrated digital guest engagement and service solution.
Playa Largo Resort & Spa and Intelity have formed a partnership to install guest service and engagement technology at the resort when it opens later this spring. The property, a joint venture between Prime Hospitality Group and Shaner Hotels, will offer complimentary in-room touchscreen tablets running on Intelity’s award-winning ICE (Interactive Customer Experience) platform for a combination of guest-facing and hotel management tools.
General Manager Shakir Hussain said, “Intelity was the only company we considered as a partner for this project. Based on their level of expertise, we knew they would be able to meet all our needs for providing a high-quality in-room guest experience.”
Interactive tablets will sit in the 155 guest rooms at the upscale resort to offer guests a convenient way to communicate directly with property staff. These tablets, equipped with Intelity’s ICE software, replace in-room print compendiums and hardware, such as alarm clocks and radios. They also provide local weather updates, digital wake-up calls, and access to a variety of guest services.
On the back end, the platform will integrate with the resort’s MICROS OPERA property management and Guestware ticketing systems to facilitate the transfer of information through the digital systems. Hotel management can also take advantage of a full suite of operational tools, including digital content management, business intelligence metrics, request tracking and notifications, and direct guest messaging.
“It’s exciting to know that our resort is fully enabled to use this kind of innovation to not only satisfy our guests, but also to gain insight into our service operations,” Hussain said. “We look forward to creatively employing Intelity’s solutions in order to innovate the guest experience.”
Intelity Senior Vice President of Global Sales Jennifer Ranno said, “It’s an honor to be able to partner with one of the first new resorts to appear in this beautiful and popular destination in more than two decades. The conveniences of our platform mean Playa Largo Resort & Spa, a Marriott Autograph Collection property, will be able to offer a distinguished level of service that will contribute to attracting both new and returning guests.”
