A partnership between Intelity and Century Park Hotel LA has been announced to bring mobile guest service technology to the property for the first time through a new hotel app and in-room tablets.

Hospitality software developer Intelity is announcing a new partnership with Century Park Hotel LA that will introduce both the ICE Bedside and ICE Mobile SaaS platforms for a complete mobile hotel guest experience through in-room tablets, as well as guests’ personal iOS and Android mobile devices.

The boutique West Los Angeles hotel already offers its guests a variety of hospitality technology amenities like complimentary high-speed Internet access in guest rooms, but the new hotel brand app by Intelity will provide a direct connection between guests and the hotel staff for improved guest service and communication.

Following the launch of its app, Century Park Hotel LA will also install in-room tablets running the ICE Bedside application in each guest room. The hotel specifically selected for Intelity’s custom tablet hardware for hospitality, which is available to the hospitality industry at a reasonable, lower cost point than current leading tablet models.

General Manager Richard Taylor said, “Partnering with Intelity is a key component in our strategy to expand our relationship with our guests using mobile. The scalability of their solution allowed us to take advantage of cutting-edge hotel technology while remaining within our desired renovation budget.”

Guests can access the information needed to personalize a stay and place requests that are sent directly to appropriate hotel staff. Among the mobile hotel services included are:

  • Pre-arrival requests
  • Dining information
  • Housekeeping
  • Activities schedule

The in-room tablets will also allow the hotel to realize financial savings by opting for paperless guest rooms and replacing outdated amenities such as alarm clock-radios.

General Manager Richard Taylor said, “We were able to customize the digital menu of guest services to meet our hotel’s specific needs. Our staff is excited to present this innovative solution and establish ourselves as forward-thinking when it comes to using mobile to meet our guests’ needs.”

Intelity CEO and President David Adelson said, “Mobile hotel technology has become a must-have in the industry, and features such as direct guest messaging, mobile check-in, and mobile hotel room key have brought it further into the spotlight. By constantly evolving, we’re able to present new hospitality technology to our partners to keep them on the leading edge.”

Intelity’s ICE platform offers both guest-facing and operational benefits that can be leveraged by a hotel to improve the guest experience, increase guest satisfaction, create new revenue channels, and streamline operations.

Requests made by guests using mobile devices can be viewed, tracked and assigned in the ICE Control System (ICS), a back-end control system with tools for staff. Other features include content control, direct guest marketing and messaging, and access to business intelligence related to guest use of the hotel app.
