Hospitality technology innovator Intelity has been selected to create a mobile guest app and install hotel tablets running on Intelity’s ICE guest service platform in guest rooms at The American Club, the Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond resort-hotel at Destination Kohler, owned and operated by the Kohler Co.

“We are excited to enhance our guest experience with modern tools,” said Christine Loose, Director Lodging for Kohler Co. “This service now offers our guests the opportunity to order in-room dining and request items from housekeeping in real time; in addition to immediate access to menus, resort amenities and activities.”

Intelity’s ICE platform combines guest-facing and hotel staff software components to assist hoteliers in improving the guest experience, increasing guest satisfaction, creating new revenue channels, and streamlining operations. Using the customized mobile hotel app on personal mobile devices or in-room tablets, guests will be able to immediately communicate requests and find look up information to improve their stay.

The adoption of hospitality guest service technology, such as in-room hotel iPads or tablets, has been proven to improve standing when it comes to AAA Five-Diamond rating assessments. The American Club, first opened in 1918 to house employees of the Kohler Company factory, is currently the only resort-hotel in the Midwest region of the United States with AAA Five-Diamond distinction. In addition, it is one of only 52 in the world with both AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star accolades.

In addition to the guest-facing apps, hotel staff at The American Club will be empowered with operational tools through the ICE Control System (ICS), a back-end control system that manages the entire ICE platform. Available features include guest request management, content control, direct guest marketing and messaging, and access to business intelligence related to guest use of the hotel app.

The platform also integrates with the property’s property management and point-of-sale systems for more frictionless digital communication of guest data.

Intelity CEO and President David Adelson said, “Having our technology featured in this prestigious hotel is an exciting way for our company to lead into 2017. The American Club is a historic landmark and has also raised the bar when it comes to premier guest service. We look forward to working with them to further this cause.”
