Intelity, leading provider of hospitality guest services solutions, and Crestron Electronics, a leading provider of control and automation systems for multiple verticals, are announcing the first installation of the companies’ integrated room automation solution at the J House Greenwich, which will be followed with several other North American properties by end of the year.
“We are enthusiastic about partnering with two companies that are leaders in innovating the field of hospitality technology,” said Bernard Augustin, general manager of J House Greenwich. “Our guests can soon look forward to enjoying advanced in-room features designed to create a more convenient and unique experience while with us.”
Intelity’s ICE (Interactive Customer Experience) guest services platform coupled with Crestron’s enterprise control and management system will allow J House Greenwich to provide guests with the ability to control room temperature, lighting, drapes and the alarm clock using an iPad or Android tablet. The combination of these comprehensive systems also enables central management of guest services and building systems, in addition to opening new channels for revenue and streamlining operations.
Intelity CEO & President David Adelson said, “This integration unites two robust technologies for a comprehensive solution that is ideal for hotels looking to revolutionize guest rooms. It places a level of control in guests’ hands that is quickly becoming the standard, as well as carrying numerous other benefits that range from resource management to digital guest services. We’re particularly thrilled to begin launching this at a remarkable property like J House Greenwich.”
Using the ICE Bedside software on an in-room tablet, guests can find hotel information and place requests for a variety of services, such as housekeeping or room service delivery. The benefits extend beyond just the guest-facing features. Automatically included with ICE is the ICE Control System (ICS), a management system that allows staff to easily update content and track usage of the application. A built-in ticketing system notifies managers of new guest requests via desktop or mobile devices and also allows the requests to be assigned to specific departments. Staff can also message guests with important information or marketing promotions.
“We’ve been providing the most innovative and high-performance management and control systems for the world’s leading luxury hotels and resorts for decades,” said Randy Klein, Crestron CEO. “We recognize that hotels want to provide the best service and amenities, and our technology enables them to deliver exceptional experiences for their guests consistently and reliably.”
Crestron’s fully integrated hospitality solutions integrate lighting and shade control, audio/video distribution, environmental system control, asset management, room scheduling, security and more, across an entire property. Crestron Green Light technology delivers breakthrough environmental control, substantially reducing energy usage and utility costs. RoomView enterprise management software allows managers to centrally monitor, manage and control all technology in guest rooms, ballrooms and meeting rooms, guest services, restaurants, bars and nightclubs, Fitness & Spa, retail shops, pools, and courtyards. Additionally, Crestron enterprise control and management systems and ICE integrate seamlessly with the hotel’s property management system to enable full automation, monitoring, and management of all technology.
